The scene on the plate is from the beginning of the story and shows the mother duck returning to the barnyard with her new ducklings. Other motifs in the series include: Thumbelina, The Tinder Box, The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Clothes, and the Flying Trunk. Each plate is hand decorated in shades of cobalt blue under the glaze. Size: 6½"
