The Norwegian Bunad collection has been assembled in collaboration with, and is recommended by The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum), Oslo, and the Folk and National Costume Council (Bunad og Folkedraktradet), Fagernes. The statuette stands 6¾” tall, and is sculpted by a master craftsman, cast in the finest materials and hand painted to preserve even the most minute detail. This beautiful maiden is wearing the traditional Setesdal bunad. Setesdal (older name: Sætersdal) is a valley and a traditional district in the Aust-Agder County in southern Norway.
